This book provides a good overview of Brazilian Portuguese. I read through it rather quickly, and it was easy to understand because I already speak Spanish. If you don't know anything about Portuguese or other Romance language take your time going through the book and use other things as well to immerse yourself in Portuguese like Duolingo, more audio materials, movies, and music.
The explanations are good and easy to understand. I liked the example sentences, too. Nice book overall.
